Massage Therapy is in demand by consumers in the US and around the world. More people are using massage as an alternative to medicine and also as preventative medicine.
Massage therapists are involved in a variety of activities like kneading, rubbing and stroking the body to stimulate circulation and relax muscles. It is one of several holistic health therapies that has mass fan-following and respect. Everybody can not become a massage therapist as you have to pass through rigorous licensing requirements to be among an elite group of therapists. Wages differ depending upon whether the therapist is self-employed or works for someone else. Earnings also depend, of course, on the frequency of client visits. Massages may cost $15 to $30 per half hour, and a therapist working for a large center may receive 30% to 70% of this amount.
